Does anyone know an easy to make homemade chocolate recipe?
I need a simple recipe on how to make chocolate by adding things like coco, milk etc.. because my auntie has an alergy to soy and its in half of the ordinary chocolate ingredients. so i cant just go to walmart and get some.. or else i would.
Put 1/2 cup of whipping cream (not whipped) slightly warmed into the blender,
add 1/2 cup of sugar, a pinch of salt and 1 tsp vanilla
blend,
add 1/2 cup raw cashews and blend until the cashews are ground up and the mixture becomes thick
spoon into a bowl and begin to mix in cocoa powder (buy a good brand, like Hershey’s, Nestle’s, or such, I suggest NOT using most "store’ brands)
mix in enough cocoa to make a "dough"
knead in some chopped pecans if desired
pat it into a square about 1/2 inch thick and cut into cubes…viola! it’s like fudge
I’ve never made this with roasted cashews, but it might work, you can use raw almonds (easier to find than raw cashews in some areas) but it won’t be as smooth.
I actually make mine with dates instead of sugar, because I cannot have refined sugar, dates are super sweet and can be blended in instead of sugar.
for a lower fat version you can use canned evaporated milk
this isn’t as smooth as commercial chocolate but it’s yummy
