Chocolate

antioxidants, and contains nitric oxide which promotes good
blood flow. Decadent, dark, bittersweet and aromatic, or
made with milk or cream, the food of the gods has long been
highly regarded as the golden pathway to the heart; with a
little help from Cupid of course.
The Mayans and Aztecs were the first

adding sugar and water. By the time chocolate's popularity
spread throughout Europe, there was no turning back. Even
today, everyone has their favorites, from brownies to
irresistible chocolate chip recipes. It's a fact nobody can
eat just one.
From chocolate shakes and sponge cake
desserts, to chocolate covered strawberries, a favorite at
Valentine's Day, there are delicious and satisfying recipes
both numerous and diverse.
How many times have friends and family
been overheard while grabbing a candy bar from their
personal stash, or after reaching into the cookie jar, that
they need their chocolate fix? As humorous as it sounds it
is true, because chocolate does make people feel good by
increasing their levels of serotonin in the brain.

guests pillows in their hotels rooms. Inside the factory are

follows.
Ingredients:
1/2 cup butter softened
1/2 cup shortening
2 large eggs
2/3 cup brown sugar packed
1/3 cup white sugar
1 tsp salt
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp vanilla extract
2 and 1/4 cups white flour
one 12 oz. bag milk or semi sweet real
chocolate chips.
One cup chopped walnuts or
pecans
This chocolate chip cookies recipe
requires you to preheat the oven to 350 degrees and raise
rack to highest position
In a large bowl let the child use a
hand mixer to beat the butter, shortening, vanilla and
sugars until creamy. Give him a small bowl to break the eggs
to be sure that shells don't accidentally get into the
cookie dough. Add to the large bowl and beat until well
blended. Add the flour, salt, and baking soda and mix
thoroughly.
Pour the chocolate chips and chopped
nuts into the dough and mix with a spoon. With a rounded
spoon, assist the child to scoop the dough onto a 13x9 inch
baking sheet and place about an inch apart. Bake for
approximately 10-15 minutes.
With a spatula remove cookies to a
rack or plate and let cool slightly. Serve with cold milk
for calcium.
With simple recipes you can have your
chocolate chip cookie and eat it too! Enjoy!
